About Yagódy
A rare North American appearance by Yagódy, a seven-member ensemble from Lviv, Ukraine, is not to be missed.
Known for haunting vocals, dramatic costumes and theatrical flair, Yagódi blends ancient Ukrainian folk melodies with Balkan rhythms in a performance that’s visually stunning and musically rich. And against the backdrop of contemporary world politics, a concert reflecting on the beautiful vocal and musical traditions of Urkraine is timely and relevant.
“A concert with Yagódy is a ritual ... there is the breathing of the wind in the field, a sound like the voice of our ancestors. The listeners are enveloped in living energy and musical trance. A dance of voices in the pulse of humanity.” — Internationales Donaufest
Yagódy has performed internationally in countries from Norway to South Africa, and from Romania to France. In 2024, Yagódy became a finalist in in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Tsunamia".
