The US inaugural lineup features Brazil's Badi Assad, Puerto Rican Emmy nominated Fabiola Méndez, Carolina Chocolate Drops’ Grammy Nominated Hubby Jenkins, and host Brian Gore Guitar Poet.

Audiences can expect an unforgettable evening filled with innovative solo performances and collaborative fusions of their genre bending global sounds.

BADI ASSAD ~

Badi Assad is a pioneering Brazilian artist known for her unique "one-woman-band" style that fuses guitar, vocals, mouth percussion, and body rhythms. Named one of the top 100 artists to revolutionize music by Guitar Player Magazine, Badi has worked with renowned artists like Bobby McFerrin and Yo-Yo Ma. Her work earned her Germany’s "Best World Music Album of the Year" as a Deutsche Grammophon artist, and her album Wonderland was featured among the BBC’s 100 Best. Her captivating performances have graced the world’s most prestigious stages, from the North Sea Jazz Festival to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

FABIOLA MÉNDEZ ~

Fabiola Méndez is an Emmy-nominated composer known for her unique blend of genres, including folk, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean influences. Her music takes listeners on a journey through various identities, cultures, and roots. As a Puerto Rican cuatrista, Fabiola Méndez showcases the rich musical traditions of her homeland. Her mastery of the cuatro, a traditional Puerto Rican instrument, adds a unique and authentic sound to her compositions. Of her playing, NPR’s Felix Contreras says, … “in Méndez’s hands, the cuatro becomes not just an example of a rich, Afro-Caribbean culture, but also an instrument to spread joy.”

HUBBY JENKINS ~

Hubby Jenkins is a talented multi-instrumentalist who endeavors to share his love and knowledge of old-time American music. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he delved into his southern roots, following the thread of African American history that wove itself through America's traditional music forms. As an integral member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and later Rhiannon Giddens band, Hubby has performed at festivals and venues around the world, earning himself both Grammy and Americana award nominations. He spreads his knowledge and love of old-time American music through his dynamic solo performances.

BRIAN GORE GUITAR POET ~

Brian Gore, often called a "poet of the guitar," blends folk, jazz, and Americana in his evocative, heartfelt performances. Brian earned his place in the music world through International Guitar Night. His innovative use of harp guitar, bongos and foot drums expanded his sonic palette, while his singer-songwriter debut, Seek the Love You’re Yearning (2023), showcases his lyrical depth. He joins the ranks of artists like Nick Drake and Bruce Cockburn, balancing heartfelt vocals with exquisite guitar work.
