Bodyvox Youth Dance Camp

Led by Emmy Award-winning choreographers Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland, BodyVox is known for its visual virtuosity, distinctive wit and unique ability to combine dance, theater and film into breathtaking productions rich in imagery, athleticism and humor.

Camp Rules and Outline

1. Students must wear shoes everywhere except on the studio dance floor.

2. Students will wear their name tags and wrist bands at all times.

3. Campers will show kindness to each other and be respectful.

Class Schedule

Students will take different dance techniques each day including ballet, contemporary and more. They will also take BodyVox branded classes, such as BodyVox Methods, Stackrobats and Yogavox. Students in the Purple and Red groups will learn BodyVox repertoire and choreograph their own pieces.

Students will have multiple snack breaks a day.

• The Red group will be released at 12:30 Monday - Wednesday.
• Green and Blue groups will be released at 2:30 Monday - Wednesday. All groups will be released at 3:30 on Friday.
• Purple and Yellow groups will be released at 3:30 Monday- Wednesday.
• All groups will be released at 3:30 on Thursday

*All classes will stay until 3:30 on Thursday

Thursday Showcase — Family and Friends Invited!

A Showcase open to family and friends will be held on Thursday in the main theater. The focus of the showcase is to share the process of student learning and creativity from the week. Showcases might include: demonstrations from classes, student produced choreography and more!

All students: 2:30-3:30pm

Camp Showcase: Friday, 2:30 - 3:30pm

Green Group: Ages 6 - 7

Camp Classes: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 2:30pm

Camp Showcase: Friday, 2:30 - 3:30pm

Blue Group: Ages 8 - 11

Camp Classes: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 2:30pm

Camp Showcase: Friday, 2:30 - 3:30pm

Purple Group: Ages 12 - 14

Camp Classes: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 3:30pm

Camp Showcase: Friday 2:30 - 3:30

Yellow Group: Ages 14+

Camp Classes: Monday through Thursday, 9:00am - 3:30pm

Camp Showcase: Friday 2:30 - 3:30
