The 14th Annual Comedy Benefit is right around the corner! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a fantastic silent auction, exceptional food and beverages followed by an impressive live auction and side-splitting entertainment from hilarious comedian
The event is set for November 5th at the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a fantastic silent auction, exceptional food and beverages followed by an impressive live auction and side-splitting entertainment from hilarious comedians; Jake Woodmansee and Jason Love at 7:30. Comedy Benefit 2011 is sponsored by Hayden Homes, Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt and Les Schwab. Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon.
Jake (The Reverend) Woodmansee has been working on the west coast since 2003 not only in stand up comedy but improv and improvisational music as well. In 2005 he became a regular performer at The Improv, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store, all in Los Angeles. With his plethora of voices, characters, and witty twists, Jake has the ability to please audiences of any age and taste.
Jason Love has performed standup comedy all over North America, including Punchline in Atlanta, Zanies in Nashville, Comic Strip in Edmonton, Bananas in NY, Arlington Draft House, Pechanga, Comedy Underground in Seattle, Southpoint, Harrahs, Tropicana in Vegas and overseas for our troops. Recent media credits include The Bob and Tom Show, HBO's "Luck" starring Dustin Hoffman, Sirius XM, Rooftop Comedy, "Today's Riff" on TBS, lead male in the indie film "Love Aplenty," two national commercials, and tons of radio. Jason's humor column, "So It Goes," has run in over 50 publications, including The Ventura County Star, Toastmaster International, and Funny Times. The column won an award from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is proven to help children in need, families and communities by providing one-to-one mentoring services that are proven to help our kids beat the odds. In 2010, we were able to support over 350 matches between Bigs and Littles throughout Central Oregon! As the need this year for assistance from Big Brothers Big Sisters has grown exponentially, we are relying on the support from our upcoming Comedy Benefit to ensure that children within our community will continue to have the resources from Big Brothers Big Sisters they need to succeed.
