The 2011-12 Bend Surgery Center’s CenterStage Series at the Tower Theatre features eight events showcasing a variety of world class performers. Performances range from contorting acrobats to the soulful funk of Tower of Power; from re-living the jazz genius of Miles Davis to the comic brilliance of Groucho Marx; from folk icon Peter Yarrow to Grammy-winning pianist/songwriter Bruce Hornsby.
“The CenterStage Series continues to bring the world’s best acts to Central Oregon,” said Ray Solley, executive director of the Tower Theatre Foundation, the nonprofit organization that owns and operates the historic venue in downtown Bend. “Thanks to our sponsors, this season we’re honored to offer the community an excellent lineup of exciting entertainment experiences. The eclectic singer/songwriter/pianist takes the solo spotlight to perform his unique fusion of jazz, rock and bluegrass, up close and personal.
