No “Silent Nights” at the Tower this Holiday Season! The Tower Theatre continues as the center of downtown Bend’s holiday spirit this December with a classic choral composition, extraordinary country rockers, legendary gospel singers, and community Christmas Eve services. The various concerts and shows include:


Thursday, Dec. 8                               Timothy B. Schmit

Singer and bass player for the Eagles and Poco with an evening of classic rock and electric country music


Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 17-18          Handel’s “Messiah”

The 43-voice Central Oregon Mastersingers accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra, under the direction of Clyde Thompson. Soloists include James Knox and Trish Sewell. Plus, you’re invited to “sing-along” on three of the most familiar choruses.


Monday, Dec. 19                               Brandi Carlile   SOLD OUT

Bend’s favorite singer/songwriter returns for a solo show. Please bring a toy for an underprivileged child.


Thursday, Dec. 22                             Blind Boys of Alabama 

The legends of gospel music mix Christmas standards with their cornerstone gospel songs for a roof-raising evening. Special guests: local R&B duo Smudge (Elise Franklin, vocals; Warren Zaiger, electric bass). 


Saturday, Dec. 24                              Community Christmas Eve services

Commemorate the birth of Christ with three services (3, 5 and 7 pm) open to all, sponsored by Antioch Church.

The nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation owns and operates the historic venue in downtown Bend.
