January 2, 2009 In November 2008, Mt. Bachelor chose The Tower Theatre Foundation as one of ten non-profit organizations to benefit from their new Charitable Giving Plan.

The Tower Theatre distributed Mt. Bachelor lift vouchers with Pine Mountain Sports on November 19, 2008 at the annual PowderHount event held at the Tower.  These vouchers are redeemable for $25 during the first charity ski period, which is midweek January 5 - January 16.  All ticket revenue generated through this giving plan will be donated directly to the Tower Theatre Foundation. The Tower Theatre will be presented a check for the amount of vouchers redeemed at the conclusion of each charity ski period.

The other four charities participating in the first charity ski period include NeighborImpact, MBSEF, Saving Grace and the Sparrow Club.  The Tower Theatre and these organizations are out of vouchers, but all organizations depend on those holding vouchers to use them so that each organization can receive its donations from Mt. Bachelor.

The second charity ski period is midweek April 6-17 and the organizations involved at that time will include United Way, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Volunteers in Medicine and Oregon Adaptive Sports.
