The Bend Surgery Center’s Foundation Series continues to bring the world to Bend with breathtaking stunts by the Golden Dragon Acrobats, Thursday and Friday, March 10 and 11, at 7:30 pm.
From Hebei, China, the Golden Dragons represent the best of the acrobatic tradition that began twenty-seven centuries ago. Today, with rigorous routines, ancient music, and costumes and choreography reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil, they present two full hours of breathtaking skill and spellbinding beauty. Both performances are family-friendly and appropriate for children aged 8 years old and up.
“Over the past six years, the Tower Theatre Foundation has brought several top acrobatic troupes to Bend,” said Ray Solley, the Tower’s executive director. “The Golden Dragons excel in combining amazing physical dexterity with colorful, dramatic presentations. Simply put, it’s a jaw-dropping experience.”
Wrapping up the Bend Surgery Center’s Foundation Series are England’s Swingle Singers on April 18. Supporting sponsor for the Foundation Series is Central Oregon Radiology.
The Tower Theatre Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to maintaining and operating the historic theatre and making the best in performing arts available and accessible to all citizens of Central Oregon.
