On Friday, March 12, at 7:30 pm, our local performing arts community will present a grand night of entertainment to raise funds for Monica and Dee Torrey, and to say thanks to Monica for all she has done and continues to do for us.
Monica and Dee have long been vitally important members of the music and theater worlds in Central Oregon and now, as Monica battles with cancer, they need our help.
Performers will include Sarah Mattox, she sang the role of Rosina in The Barber of Seville, performed at the Tower in 2008, Trish Sewell, James Knox, Melissa Bagwell, Jason Stein, Rick Johnson and Jacob Looper. The Central Oregon Mastersingers led by Clyde Thompson will appear, along with pianists Jean Shrader and Kathy Gault, as well as members of the Central Oregon Symphony under the direction of Michael Gesme. A troupe of actors led by Lilli-Ann Linford-Foreman will also take part.
Concert tickets $15 general admission.
Doors open at 6:30 pm to allow time to peruse and purchase raffle ticket items.
Raffle tickets will be sold at the event for several gift baskets. A quilt made especially for this event by Bevalee Runner, Virlene Arnold and Tammy Mac Arthur will also be raffled off. To purchase raffle tickets for the quilt prior to the event, contact Jo Ann Thompson. Raffle ticket prices are $5 for one ticket, $10 for 3 tickets and $20 for 6 tickets.
One special live auction item will be bid upon at the end of intermission. It is a three-night stay for up to 8 people at a 225 acre vacation rental home near Livingston, Montana, valued at $1200. Go to www.bestmontanavacationrental.com to learn more.
