Tower Theatre Staff
She has been a bright spot at the Tower since 2015 and anyone who has met her knows her smile is absolutely infectious. When she is not creating e-blasts, social media posts and cranking out other messages to connect with the community, she is also supporting Box Office operations which is no small feat.
Art and music began pumping through Amanda's blood at a young age. At 12 her dad took her to a KISS show and she returned home with a full face of Starchild make up and the ability to belt out all the lyrics to "Rock and Roll All Night." She grew up listening to Rusted Root and Travis Tritt so it was pretty special for her to see them both live this year as an adult. She's excited to see Black Violin on April 2nd which has been the soundtrack for her commute and work outs for the past few weeks. She says listening to Black Violin feels like Bach and Biggie having a party!
Amanda is usually careful with her words but where she really gets long winded is when she starts listing all the acts she wants to see at the Tower: David Bowie, David Byrne (or Talking Heads), Fleetwood Mac, Yonder Mountain, Gary Clark Jr. and more! She has a new list every day!
Her favorite thing about the Tower? She exclaims "I love the humans of the Tower! Not only the incredible staff, but the entire community who come to visit, support, and share in the performing arts experience."
One of her favorite memories is of a recent Mariachi Divas performance with 450 Central Oregon students. As she describes it, "the energy in the Theatre was unlike any I’d ever experienced. I asked a student what their favorite part was, and they replied, 'We got to SING, DANCE, SCREAM, and oh man it was so fun, but now I’m really thirsty.' That made me smile all day…I’m still smiling."
When Amanda is not at the Tower she is exploring the mountains and rivers around Bend. She has a very adventurous spirit and can make some gorgeous turns at Bachelor.
