Bret Grier, owner of Bend’s Random Presents concert promotion and marketing company, announced his business will embark on a new direction in association with the Tower Theatre Foundation.
“This coming year, we will make a priority to bring nationally-known touring artists to the Tower on a regular basis,” said Grier. “The move is our response to increasing local demand to see selected high-energy acts in a more intimate, theatre setting. In other words: the Tower is ready to rock!”
Random Presents has booked a wide range of urban, Americana, and rock acts across Central Oregon, from Snoop Dogg to Social Distortion, and Brandi Carlile to Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. “We’ll continue to support the Domino Room and Midtown Ballroom with hip hop and hard rock acts catering to a younger audience,” Grier commented.
“By hosting energetic performers in the informal style of the Tower, we can help Bret target more young professional and millennial music lovers,” added Ray Solley, executive director of the Tower Theatre. “We think lots of Bret’s loyal followers, plus a large, new audience, will enjoy the change of scenery and the homespun ‘for the love of music’ attitude that’s a hallmark of Random Presents shows.”
For the new performances that are general admission, the first three rows of seats will be removed, creating a dance floor at the front of the auditorium. A variety of food and beverages will be available to be enjoyed in all areas of the theatre.
