Calendar of events for August, 2006:
- Wednesday, August 9th, The Breedlove Acoustic Fest. Featuring Ed Gerhard, Brad Davis, Tim May, Dan Miller and special guest Randy Scruggs. A magical evening with some of the best acoustic musicians in the world. A concert to Benefit the Central Oregon Autism Resource Group. - Thursday, August 10th, Pine Mountain Observatory Annual Star Party, Join the friends of Pine Mountain for this special event where Dr. Jim Brau, world leading physicist, will explore the wonders of the universe! - Wednesday, August 16th , Russian Dolls a movie presentation of “The Series, Showcasing Excellence in Independent Film”. A companion piece to “L’Auberge Espanole directed by Cedric Klapisch. - Sunday, August 20th, Carbon Leaf in Concert. American Music Award recipients Virgina-based Carbon Leaf will have its quintet in concert featuring Barry Privett, Carter Gravatt, Jordan Medas, Scott Milstead and Terry Clark. - Wednesday, August 30th, Mongolian Ping Pong, a movie presentation of The Series, Showcasing Excellence in Independent Film. The final film in the present series, Ping Pong follows the exploits of Beliki, Erguotou and Dawa, three Mongolian boys who find a Ping Pong ball floating in a creek. Mischief, adventures and the excitement of learning about a world beyond imagination envelope the boys and you. Tickets are available online at www.towertheatre.org or by calling 317-0700. $5.00.
